Abstract
Hydrocephalus refers to a pathological condition in which an accumulation of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) occurs within the brain due to imbalance in the production and absorption of CSF. The most commonly used treatment method for hydrocephalus is ventriculoperitoneal (VP) shunt. Many complications can occur after VP shunt for the management of hydrocephalus. Here, we present rare two cases of distal catheter migration into the abdominal wall after VP shunt. The mechanism of this rare phenomenon was also discussed.
